Your 3-day adventure begins upon arrival at Moulay Ali Cherif Airport in Errachidia. You’ll be warmly welcomed by your driver and immediately set off towards the enchanting Sahara Desert. The drive offers scenic views of the Ziz Valley, a lush corridor of palm trees and traditional villages. You'll arrive in Merzouga in the evening, just in time to settle into your desert hotel and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner. This relaxing night prepares you for the adventure that awaits the next day.

After breakfast, the day is dedicated to discovering the fascinating surroundings of Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Your journey begins with a visit to Hassi Labied, where you'll learn about ancient irrigation systems and local farming practices. Next, you'll head to the village of Khamlia, where descendants of sub-Saharan Africans perform soulful Gnawa music, a cultural treasure of the region.

Continue to the old mineral mines of M'ifis and explore desert landscapes rich in fossils and minerals. You'll also visit a nomadic Berber family, sharing mint tea in their traditional tent and learning about life in the desert. Several panoramic stops will allow you to capture the raw beauty of the region with your camera.

In the afternoon, return to Merzouga to begin your camel trek across the dunes. You'll pause at the top of a high dune to watch a breathtaking sunset and try sandboarding if you wish. The camel ride concludes at a traditional desert camp where you'll be welcomed with tea. After a hearty dinner, enjoy live Berber drumming music under a sky full of stars before retiring to your comfortable nomad-style tent.

Wake early to witness the sunrise over the golden dunes, a truly magical experience. After breakfast and a refreshing shower at the camp, you can choose to return to Merzouga either on camelback or by 4x4 vehicle.

The journey north begins with a drive along the scenic Ziz Valley, one of Morocco’s largest palm groves, framed by impressive mountain landscapes. Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains with photo stops and lunch along the way. In the afternoon, you’ll reach the cedar forest of Azrou, where you can observe and photograph wild Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.

Before arriving in Fes, take a relaxing break in Ifrane, often referred to as Morocco’s “Little Switzerland” for its alpine-style architecture and clean streets. Your unforgettable 3-day trip concludes as you reach the imperial city of Fes in the late afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or riad.
